The Ohio Obesity Society (OOS) is a nonprofit professional membership organization dedicated to providing community and supporting providers in the field of obesity medicine as well as advocating for patients with this chronic disease. By uniting our Ohio community of healthcare professionals passionate about the disease of obesity, we hope to reduce weight bias and stigma, promote best clinical practices, and improve access to safe, evidenced based care for our patients through education and advocacy. 

Any healthcare provider involved in the treatment of obesity is welcome to join. We are open to physicians, psychologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, registered dieticians, exercise physiologists, therapists, social workers and patient advocates.
